CALL FOR PAPERS

The theme for the conference is 'Productivity, Growth, and Resilience in the Asian Economies'.

Contributions on the following topics are particularly welcome:

• Structural drivers of productivity
• Exogenous shocks (including COVID-19) and resilience- the role of public policy
• Sustainability of growth
• Productivity implications of trade, FDI, and participation in global value chains (GVCs)
• Impact of digital transformation on productivity and employment: challenges and opportunities for Asian countries
• Changing labour market dynamics

Extended paper abstract should be about 600-1200 words, excluding references. Please provide the following information: paper title, names of author(s), institutional affiliation, email address, and keywords at the beginning of the abstract. The abstract should contain an introduction (motivation, brief literature, research question, contribution of the paper), methodology and data, results (main findings if available, or expected outcomes and implications), and a short list of key references.

Dercison of Acceptance:   January 15, 2023
Submission of full paper (those who apply for financial assistance):   February 28, 2023
Decision on financial assistance:   March 31, 2023
Submission of full paper (those not applying for financial assistance):   April 30, 2023
Announcement of the preliminary programme:   May 15, 2023

Financial Grant: A financial grant for participating in the conference and presenting a paper will be provided to a limited number of eligible young researchers, preferably from emerging economies, strictly on a merit-cum-need basis. The grant will be subject to a maximum of the actual cost of travel by economy-class air travel or train travel and stay at a reasonably-priced hotel. The paper presenters who wish to avail this facility should indicate their willingness to be considered for a financial grant at the time of their paper submission. The exact amount of the grant will be decided by the conference organizing committee and will be communicated to candidates sufficiently before the conference. Any decisions regarding the financial grant taken by the organizing committee will be considered final and any request for grant enhancement thereafter shall not be entertained.
